The Journey Begins

Welcome to AT4OT- Assistive Technology for Occupational Therapists (and teachers)!

Technology is changing the way students access their education, and I think OTs and teachers need to keep pace with the expanding role technology plays in society, and especially in the school setting. I’ve been an occupational therapist for over 33 years in a variety of settings. For the past 13 years, I have been practicing as a school-based occupational therapist and assistive technology specialist. I really love what I do and am just as passionate about sharing this information with others, so I created this blog as an AT resource for OTs and other school professionals. There are so many AT resources out there, so I hope to organize things for you a bit so you can find some of what you need right here. The categories will help guide you to specific AT according to the different performance areas addressed, and the blog entries will give you some ideas about how to apply them. I am new to blogging, so please bear with me and check back often as I learn the ropes!
